Cowfold Fete - July 12th 2008
ROLL UP, ROLL UP, ROLL UP!
All the fun of the Fete returns to Cowfold on Saturday 12th July from 12 until 4 and we are all hoping for the same glorious weather we enjoyed last year. Once again the Cowfold Social Committee has worked throughout the winter (yes, honestly!) to bring in as many and varied attractions as we could.
As well as the traditional Horticultural Society Summer Show marquee in the centre of the field, regular features include another fine collection of classic cars, a very active Dog Show and a Catering Corner with a wide range of refreshments. In addition the following attractions are expected to appear:
· 5 Birds of Prey on the wing
· Hot air balloon (weather permitting)
· Childrens’ fairground
· Miniature steam railway
· Giant Inflatables for the kids
· Punch and Judy
· A whole host of displays and sales stands.
The chosen Good Cause for 2008 is St Peter’s Church Tower Restoration Appeal. Tickets for the ongoing Church Big Raffle with some real star prizes will still be on sale. The draw will take place in the afternoon.
P.S. We tried to get the Red Arrows but they apparently have a prior engagement at a little show at Fairford…
