St Peter's Church Baby and Toddler GroupThis very informal and friendly group meets on alternate Tuesdays in term time from 10am to about 12 noon in St Peter's Church. It is attended by a good number of mums, dads, grandparents and other carers who accompany babies and preschool children for a time of fun. We start with a time of play, chat and a cuppa as people arrive. Then we have a short participative Bible story, singing and percussion instruments. The older children go on to do arts and crafts activities such as painting, modelling, collage, snack-making; whilst toys are available for the younger members; and plenty of tea for the adults! There is no charge for attending the group, no obligation, and no need to book. New members are made very welcome by the leader, helpers and members alike. The objectives are for families to have the opportunity to come into church; to meet other carers; and for the children to have an informal introduction to the Christian faith, in a fun environment.
